• What if I don’t have enough space or sunlight?

  We specialize in edible gardens that can thrive in small or urban spaces, such as balconies or suburban backyards. The key is selecting the right plants and gardening methods. Even limited space or poor soil can be overcome with careful design.

• What if I don’t have the time?

• Are your gardens organic?

  Organic is at the core of our mission. Pesticides and synthetic additives don’t belong in a home garden and are not necessary with proper care and knowledge. We highly recommend using our maintenance service, which allows you to be proactive about any garden issues.

• Is there a deadline for me to start a garden?

  Ideally, we recommend starting in the spring so you can enjoy all four growing seasons, which we are lucky enough to have in our area. But if you catch the train a little late, that’s fine. We’ll adjust the design to make sure your plants are still thriving.

• What about storing tools and supplies?

  An edible urban garden doesn’t require bulky equipment. While high-tech options are widely available online, they’re not essential. Simple tools and techniques can keep the garden thriving without complex or costly setups.

• What about pests?

  We know from experience that pests are one of the biggest issues faced in the garden. Smaller pests are dealt with through proactive care. Companion planting, soil health, organic pest control, and crop covers are some of the solutions we apply to our gardens. Larger pests like deer, squirrels, gophers, and birds are kept away by our protective cages, designed to keep them out.

• Do you work with spaces other than private homes/apartments?

  Yes! Schools, community gardens, restaurants, and corporate spaces are all eligible for fresh, organic produce. We are especially passionate about educating kids and communities about the wonders and benefits of gardening. Our owner has a background in food service and fully understands the demands and challenges of that industry. We also have a hydroponic systems specialist on our team for indoor spaces.

• What if I want to go on vacation or need to go on a business trip?

  Gardening should not get in the way of you exploring the world or taking a vacation. We have you covered with our automated drip watering systems and Garden & Plant Sitting services. As a part of our maintenance plan, we can stop by and make sure your plants are still thriving, regardless of your time away. For extended vacations, we can ensure your plants keep producing by harvesting them and giving the produce locally to your neighbors, or donating it to a food pantry on your behalf.
